Lauren Wall, LPC - Associate
Supervised by Quinn Smelser, PhD, LPC-S, RPT-S

Hi there, I’m Lauren Wall, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) in Texas supervised by Quinn Smelser, PhD, LPC-S, RPT-S. I take a person-centered, trauma-informed approach and bring warmth, curiosity, and genuine care into each session. My passion lies in supporting older children, teens, college students, and young adults through the many transitions and challenges that come with growing up.

I specialize in working with children, teens, and adults and have experience supporting clients from all backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ individuals and those in high-pressure environments such as high-level athletics. My therapeutic style integrates play therapy, mindfulness, CBT, DBT, and ACT techniques, depending on your unique needs and goals. I aim to help clients process emotions, and engage in reflective, embodied work that supports well-being and fosters a more authentic, fulfilling life.

Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, ADHD, depression, identity exploration, life transitions, or self-esteem struggles, I aim to co-create a space where you feel safe to be yourself, explore your experiences, and start building the kind of life you want.

I earned my M.A. in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health from St. Edward's University in 2025. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Trinity University.

I began my career working with children through Communities in Schools of Central Texas, providing school-based counseling and play therapy to elementary-aged clients. This experience helped me develop a flexible clinical approach and a strong ability to build meaningful relationships with children and adolescents.

While I was in school to become a counselor, I spent three years coaching club swimming at Longhorn Aquatics, where I worked with athletes from early elementary through high school. My background as both a former collegiate athlete and club swim coach gives me a unique perspective on the pressures, performance demands, and identity development young athletes often face. Having been on both sides I can understand and connect with my clients on a deeper level.
